CATSU T04 Tilt Rotator for Mini Excavator Installed on a SUNWARD SWE35UF in Denmark
CATSU T04 Tilt Rotator for Mini Excavator Installed on a SUNWARD SWE35UF in Denmark
CATSU has received a new customer installation photo from Denmark showing a T04 tiltrotator mounted on a SUNWARD SWE35UF mini excavator.
The returned photo was taken in a winter environment, with snow covering the ground and the excavator tracks. The CATSU T04 is clearly installed between the excavator arm and a wide grading bucket, confirming the completed mechanical and hydraulic installation.
For this project, the T04 was supplied with an S40 interface to match the attachment system used on the customer’s compact excavator.
A Compact System for a 3.5-Ton Excavator
The SUNWARD SWE35UF has an operating weight of approximately 3.8 tonnes. Its compact size and short rear design make it suitable for landscaping, utility construction, drainage, residential work, and projects with limited operating space.
Customers in this machine class often begin by searching for a tilt bucket for mini excavator applications. A tilting bucket can provide useful lateral movement, especially during grading and ditch-cleaning work.
However, the tilting function of a conventional mini excavator tilt bucket belongs to that individual bucket. When the operator changes to another attachment, the additional movement is no longer available.
The CATSU T04 takes a different approach. Installed between the excavator arm and the work tool, it provides continuous 360-degree rotation and ±45-degree bidirectional tilt. This makes the T04 a practical tilt rotator for mini excavator systems that use several compatible attachments.

S40 Attachment Compatibility
The T04 supplied for this Danish customer uses an S40/S40 configuration. S40 is commonly used with compact excavators in this weight class and provides a standardised connection for compatible buckets and work tools.
Before production, the excavator model, mounting dimensions, hydraulic requirements, and attachment interface must be confirmed. Correct matching is especially important on smaller excavators because installation weight and height can affect digging geometry and machine handling.
The returned image shows the completed hose routing around the excavator arm and the T04 connected to a grading bucket. The compact installation keeps the tiltrotator close to the working end of the machine.
Unlike a dedicated tilt bucket for mini excavator grading, the T04 allows compatible digging buckets, grading buckets, and other attachments to use the same rotation and tilting capability.
Designed for Controlled Attachment Positioning
The CATSU proportional control system allows the operator to adjust rotation and tilt from inside the cab. Small control inputs can be used when working around kerbs, walls, pipes, trees, or completed surfaces.
This positioning capability is useful in the restricted working areas where compact excavators are commonly used. The operator can change the direction and angle of the bucket without relying entirely on movement of the excavator tracks.
A mini excavator tilt bucket remains a suitable choice for machines dedicated mainly to grading. A complete tiltrotator offers broader flexibility when one excavator needs to change between several work tools.
A Real CATSU Installation in Denmark
This customer image documents a genuine CATSU T04 installation rather than a demonstration or computer-generated application.
It shows how a tilt rotator for mini excavator use can be integrated with a compact SUNWARD machine and an S40 attachment system, even under cold Nordic working conditions.
CATSU supplies tiltrotators for excavators from 1 to 26 tonnes. Contact CATSU with your excavator model, coupler measurements, hydraulic information, and attachment requirements to confirm the correct system.
